In 2017, Capshare joined Solium, now Shareworks by Morgan Stanley, adding our equity management software for early-stage companies to their larger platform.
In an email sent to you at that time, we committed to continue running Capshare as an independent entity inside a larger firm for a few years. There are a lot of nuanced details going right in a successful company, and it’s really easy to mess those up if you’re not paying attention. We wanted to make sure to do this right and take our time.
Over the past two years, we’ve carefully integrated with Shareworks by Morgan Stanley and found a place within their platform.
Capshare was built to focus on you – and there are differences between your needs and the needs of a much larger company. We’ve been careful to maintain those differences when appropriate. We’ve also learned from each other, changing things on both sides to build the best products and services for private companies.
So with that as a backdrop, we’d like to announce that Capshare is renaming to Shareworks Startup Edition. We’ve pulled together a suite of the best solutions on the market, purpose-built for your specific needs. In addition to the Startup Edition, the suite includes solutions for later-stage equity management, valuations, compensation planning, liquidity events, financial reporting and tax and legal compliance.
